Coupl is a relationship quiz application that provides:

• Daily Relationship Quizzes: Two-step questions where you answer for yourself and predict your partner's response
• Partner Connection: Ability to connect with your romantic partner via unique codes
• Love Nudges: Quick romantic messages to send to your connected partner
• Mood Check-ins: Daily mood sharing between connected partners
• Relationship Statistics: Tracking of streaks, match rates, and quiz history
• Push Notifications: Real-time alerts for partner activity
• Premium Features: Optional in-app purchases for enhanced content

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.

3.1 Account Types

• Guest Accounts: Use the app without registration, data tied to your device
• Registered Accounts: Create an account with email and password for data security

3.2 Account Responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

3.3 Partner Connections

When you connect with a partner, both parties consent to sharing quiz responses, mood check-ins, love nudges, and other relationship data within the app. You can disconnect from your partner at any time.

You agree to use our Service responsibly and not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content through love nudges or other features
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without our written consent
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of our software

We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination.

5.1 Our Content

All content provided by Coupl, including quiz questions, app design, software, and materials, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content.

5.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (quiz responses, love nudges, mood check-ins). By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and process your content to provide the Service
• Share your content with your connected partner as intended by the app's functionality
• Use aggregated, anonymized data for service improvement and analytics

5.3 Question Feedback

When you rate quiz questions (1-5 hearts), this feedback helps us improve content quality. Your ratings may be aggregated with other users' feedback for analytical purposes.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Service, you consent to our privacy practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

7.1 Premium Features

We offer optional in-app purchases for premium content and features. All purchases are processed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) and are subject to their respective terms and conditions.

7.2 Payment and Billing

• Purchases are charged to your app store account

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• Refunds are handled according to app store policies

7.3 RevenueCat Integration

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. Their processing is subject to their terms of service and privacy policy.

Our Service includes push notifications for:

• Love nudges from your partner
• Partner mood changes
• Quiz reminders and results
• Connection requests
• Service updates and announcements

You can control notification settings through your device settings or within the app. We use Expo's notification service to deliver these notifications.

We collect and analyze usage data to improve our Service, including:

• App usage patterns and feature interactions
• Question rating trends for content improvement
• Aggregated relationship statistics
• Technical performance metrics

This data is used solely for service improvement and is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

10.1 Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

Coupl is an entertainment and relationship tool and should not replace professional relationship counseling or therapy.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Relationship issues or personal conflicts
• Damages resulting from Service interruptions
• Third-party actions or content

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Coupl, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you submit through the Service

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Coupl regarding the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms in the app
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Providing notice through the app or email for significant changes

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
